Whether you are looking for a school field trip, an excursion for a camp group or just want to get out with your family to learn something new, Indiana County has several venues that won’t cost you anything. Our parks and trails are loaded with history and offer many programs throughout the year at low or no cost to the consumer.
Enjoy our walking and driving tours at your own pace and learn how Indiana County played an instrumental role in the region’s history as well as a main point for the Underground Railroad. There are five covered bridges within the county with roads that wind through the countryside for a great day traveling the back roads. We are in progress of developing our Covered Bridge driving tour and incorporating how these structures played a role in history.
